City District - Historical Appreciation 2026 Calendar
After a multi-year partnership with City District Orlando, the organization invited me to lead a large-scale commissioned project: their annual desk calendar. The goal was to celebrate the beauty and rich stories behind historic buildings throughout Downtown Orlando, culminating in a calendar entitled “Art & Architecture: Downtown Orlando’s Historic Gems.”
I collaborated with artist Megan Elizabeth Smith to create 12 watercolor portraits of historic architecture in the Downtown area. City District’s Sara Reynolds also contributed to the project, writing 12 online articles that explored the history of each building and its tenants included in the calendar.
In celebration of the City of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, we produced a limited run of 150 calendars, which sold out completely.
As project manager, I oversaw scheduling and production timelines, designed the final calendar layout, coordinated printing, and managed sales. The entire project was completed in just six weeks, with calendars delivered in early December 2025.
The project was a tremendous success, with all copies purchased by community members, Orlando Main Street organizers, and City of Orlando officials and staff. The City District team was so pleased with the response that they have already invited us to collaborate on next year’s edition.
This project was a joy to take the lead on, and I’m incredibly proud of its ultimate success and support it received from the Downtown Orlando community. You can view some of my previous partnerships with City District Orlando here.
